Friends who I meet around the world often ask me where the word 'CloudStreet' comes from and what it means.  A 'Cloud Street' is both a meteorological term and a 'soaring' (as in flying, hawks, gliders, eagles, hang gliders, etc.)  If you look to the sky on a nice summer day you might see the white puffy clouds with flat bottoms.  They are called 'cumulus' clouds and are formed from rising columns of air (thermals).  The air cools as it rises & eventually the water in the air is squeezed out to form a rising, billowing cloud.  When  flying in any type of glider (think of a Red Tailed Hawk here) we look for those rising columns of air because by using the 'thermal lift' underneath a cumulus cloud, we can stay aloft for long periods of time without the use of an engine/propeller.  Now, if you see these cumulus clouds forming in long lines traveling with the upper level winds, that is called a Cloud Street.  When we get under a Cloud Street we can fly downwind for many (hundreds of) miles without the use of an engine/propeller (kind of like,,, SAILING!).

I have spent my entire life soaring in one type of glider or another, including CloudStreet.

New Q Sails,, 1st day out, June 3, 2019

Now my beautiful Amel, 'CloudStreet' is FOR SAIL,,, whoops, SALE!  She is priced at $280,000 $249,000 U.S.  This includes the brand new sails and Yanmar diesel as described below.  We are currently sailing in the Southern Caribbean between Martinique and Grenada.

In 2014, with guidance from Joel Potter I purchased CloudStreet in Fort Lauderdale.  I was told upfront at that time that she was a sound boat but needed some upgrading and was priced accordingly.  I have that original sales brochure for anyone interested.

Immediately after purchasing CloudStreet I set to upgrading and improving her at and beyond the recommendations from Joel.  At this time NOTHING needs upgrading with the exception of the dishwasher, which did not work when I purchased her and does not work now.
